FF014: The Season Finale

Friendly Fire Episode 14 was a LIVE event at A Bit of Billiards in Longmont, Colorado on June 11, 2012.  This was our season finale – we’ll return after Labor Day.

Yet another installment of Hillbillies In Space which featured the “doucheburger” and suing for herpes.  Bill from Apollon Astrology gave a chart reading of Angie of Pure Energy Karaoke.  We argued once again about Spaceballs and food.  Anthony and Josh from SportsTalk interviewed the Boulder County Bombers Roller Derby team.

Then the musical part of the show began when Chris and Stephen sang a song to our favorite fan Alissa.  We talked about other shows on the network (Longmont Politics and In The Field Camping), which lead Chris to bring out his guitar and play “Rocky Mountain High” with Anthony and Stephen helping out in vocals.  Next Chris surprised Stephen by playing “Losing My Religion“, Stephen being an atheist and all, then Stephen took over the lead vocals.  We then talked about random topics from previous shows.

Thanks to all of you who attended!

FF013: Mildew Jesus and voter ID, fraud, and purges

On Friendly Fire EP13, during our Wacky News/Hillbillies In Space segment we talked about a Jesus made out of shower mold, an atheist finding God only to unfind God, Tim McCarver saying global warming causes more home runs, and the apparent pending Zombie Apocalypse.  In our main segment it was all about voter fraud, voter purges, and voter ID laws.

FF012: Food Fight!

On Friendly Fire EP12, we more or less had a “Food Fight” where we didn’t agree to disagree on what we like and what we loathe.  During the show we sampled Smoked Salmon Bruschetta from local restaurant Sugarbeet.  To help alleviate Stephen’s anti-Mexican cuisine issues, we plied him with tequila, to no avail.  In the AFTERSHOW gave a shout out to a new ethnic food company startup to keep an eye out for and that will be sampled in a future show – Silver Monkey Cuisine.

* This show is dedicated in memory of our listener Tiffany Holt who passed away at the age of 29, a few short weeks after joining us in the chat room for this show.

FF011:Divine goats, 3 second rule, and Obama’s “Julia”

On Friendly Fire EP11 it was “Cinco de Mayo” themed complete with mariachi music and the usual mayhem involved with our show.  We talked about the Jesus goat from Norway, the 3-second rule, and Obama’s infamous “Julia” campaign ad.

FF010: Confederate flags, crack, snakes, gum swallowing, sadistic dentists – and the student loan debate

Tonight on Episode 10 of Friendly Fire, Stephen continued with his new series “Weird and Wacky News” or “Hillbillies in Space” – take your pick.  We had fun with dresses made of Confederate flags, Say NO to crack, say YES to rollerskating,  real “snakes on a plane”, the trials and tribulations of swallowing your gum, withholding sex due to political persuasion, scorned dentists removing ex-boyfriends teeth, and shooting oneself with a dumbbell.

S.S. (Socialist Stephen) makes a pilgrimage to the capitalist mecca/monument of Las Vegas, NV – and gets pranked by Chris on the way home.

Oh, and in the more serious debate part of the show we talked about the recent events surrounding student loans and how Stephen believes the federal government should pay for it all (actually, just loan money for it).

FF009:Coca-Cola abuse, robotic “lovers”, hillbillies in space, and the GSA & Secret Service scandals

Tonight on Episode 9 of Friendly Fire, Stephen started with a new series of nonsense called “Weird and Wacky News” or “Hillbillies in Space” – name pending.  We talked about women dying of Coca-Cola, robotic prostitutes, all while having dueling banjos and spaceship sounds.  Then it was on to the hard hitting political debates about the imperial Obama presidency, the GSA and Secret Service scandals – and “whatnot” as SG would say.

FF008:Atheists and Easter and the War on Women

On this episode of Friendly Fire we talked about atheists and their problems with Easter, and pretty much any public display of anything religious.  We also touched on the “war on women” based on the recent statements by Hillary Rosen about Ann Romney.

FF007:The show’s astrological reading, salary caps equal socialism, plus the Trayvon Martin and gun control debate

On this episode of Friendly Fire we started out with an astrological reading by Bill from  Apollon Astrology where he did a “mundane” reading of LightningRod Radio Network as a being unto itself.  Anthony from SportsTalk joined us in studio to talk more about salary caps in sports.  We also talked about the sports team who showed solidarity behind Trayvon Martin, which segued into the case itself and gun control.

Music tonight was proved by Modern Science, courtesy of Music Alley.
