LP019: Lefty libelers, fireworks, forest fires, fracking, and a solar failure

On Episode 19 of Longmont Politics we talked about the June 10th Longmont Citiy Council meeting, the local lefty loons misidentifying and going after an innocent victim, a good piece by Muhammad Ali Hasan about the health of our forests – in light of our recent local forest fires, a piece by Michelle Malkin about what President Obama’s policies have done to the tanker fleet that fights forest fires, Abound Solar goes under costing taxpayers lots of money and workers their jobs, and a North Carolina lawmaker accidentally votes to allow fracking by pushing the wrong button.

On Episode 18 of Longmont Politics we talked about yet another example of Longmont Mayor Dennis Coombs and Councilmember Sarah Levison‘s late night shenanigans.  We got answers to our questions about the fracking ban petition and ballot question from the City Clerk, and more or less suggested you don’t sign the petition or ask to have your name removed from it.  Lastly, we talked about U.S. Congressman Jared Polis and how he may have violated House rules when he paid a visit to the High Park Fire.

LP017: Katie Witt on being an RNC delegate

On Episode 17 of Longmont Politics, we concluded our interview with Longmont Ward 2 City  Councilmember Katie Witt where she talked about the process of being elected as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.  We talked about some of the antics of the Ron Paul supporters, and how Mitt Romney was considered the conservative alternative four years ago, but now is considered a more liberal candidate for the Republican Party comparatively speaking.  I also asked Councilmember Witt about questions of her public support of a national candidate in the presidential election as an elected city representative.

LP016: Fracking ballot questions, voter ID, the airport, and deranged Tweets

On Episode 16 of Longmont Politics we played some City Council audio of singing anti-frackers and talked about their group (ROAR) limiting dissenting opinions on their Facebook page.  It was then on to voter ID and some questions for our City Clerk.  We then talked about some proof of voter fraud and letters from some people who may have registered illegally.

It was then discussion of the Twin Peaks Mall, Panattoni, Harvest Junction, the Vance Brand Airport.  Finally, we went through the quite revealing and troubling mental sewage in the form of tweets from former Longmont City Councilmember Sean McCoy, as well as those who “think” they are competition for me or any sane thinking person.  I invite you to check out their swill (Longmont Area Democrats & Free Range Longmont).

FF014: The Season Finale

Friendly Fire Episode 14 was a LIVE event at A Bit of Billiards in Longmont, Colorado on June 11, 2012.  This was our season finale – we’ll return after Labor Day.

Yet another installment of Hillbillies In Space which featured the “doucheburger” and suing for herpes.  Bill from Apollon Astrology gave a chart reading of Angie of Pure Energy Karaoke.  We argued once again about Spaceballs and food.  Anthony and Josh from SportsTalk interviewed the Boulder County Bombers Roller Derby team.

Then the musical part of the show began when Chris and Stephen sang a song to our favorite fan Alissa.  We talked about other shows on the network (Longmont Politics and In The Field Camping), which lead Chris to bring out his guitar and play “Rocky Mountain High” with Anthony and Stephen helping out in vocals.  Next Chris surprised Stephen by playing “Losing My Religion“, Stephen being an atheist and all, then Stephen took over the lead vocals.  We then talked about random topics from previous shows.

Thanks to all of you who attended!

LP014: The public sounds off to council, and voter ID laws

On Episode 14 of Longmont Politics, we condensed 2 hours of public testimony at the May 22nd Longmont City Council meeting about oil/gas regulations down to about 25 minutes.  “Exceptional benefit”, aka the McCoy Annexation Extortion Scheme, was done away with at this meeting as well.  Longmont Area Dems (@longmontdems) goes on the attack of those they disagree with, and fraudulently pretending to hyperlink to this site – Longmont Politics.  Notice how we actually link to them, unlike them we’re not afraid of the competition, as unhinged as it is in this case. Finally I further expanded on my Times-Call letter about voter ID requirements.
